4 February 2016, Hangzhou, China. Geely Auto (Geely) is pleased to announce January sales reached 60,093 units, a 2% increase over January 2015.
The flagship Geely GC9 continued to be the best selling domestic B-Segment vehicle with sales reaching 6,001 units in January. At the same time, Geely’s Emgrand sales reached 22,512 units and combined SUV sales reached 4,949 units.
The introduction of the new King Kong sedan has proven to be a success with sales reaching just over 10,000 units in the first month of 2016, an increase of 106% over the same period in 2015. Likewise, the Geely Vision series saw sales of 14,646 units, an increase of 26% in year on year sales.
Export markets remain a weak point for Geely due to unstable political situations in key export markets across the Middle East and economic turbulence in Russia.
Geely Auto has made a strong start to 2016,with new products being introduced over the course of the year, Geely is well placed to perform strongly in 2016 and meet its goal of 600,000 units.
